Bernard Quinn, of Ballagan, Greenore, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully but suddenly on June 4th, 2026, while in the tender and devoted care of the staff at the Ulster Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of his family.

Predeceased by his father Joe, Bernard was the beloved husband of Clare (née McGeough) and the cherished father of Rowan, Ellen, and Joseph. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his heartbroken wife, sons, and daughter.

He is also deeply mourned by his devoted grandson Michael-Bernard; his mother Therese; his brother Jimmy; his sisters Jackie, Michele, and Irene; son-in-law Michael; Rowan’s partner Tabea; Joseph’s partner Laura; mother-in-law Maureen; as well as his nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

Funeral Details:
Funeral arrangements will be published on Sunday morning, June 7th.

Bernadette (Bernie) Rigney, of Mountain View, Dunleer, Co. Louth, passed away suddenly in her 52nd year.

Predeceased by her parents Bill and Joan and her infant brother Paul, Bernie will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving brothers John, Liam, Declan, Martin, and Aidan, and her sisters Elizabeth, Martina, Caroline, Lorraine, Celina, and Mary.

She is also fondly remembered and mourned by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, her two cherished godchildren Sophie and Kiera, her nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer (A92 V38H) on Sunday evening, June 7th, from 4:00pm until 9:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 8th, at 12 noon in Saint Brigid’s Church, Dunleer, which can be viewed live online via the Dunleer parish webcam. Burial will take place afterward in Dromin Cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, if desired, to the Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery service.

Kevin Joseph Shevlin, of Hunterstown, Ardee, Co. Louth, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 4th, 2026.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Moira and his brother Sean, Kevin was the beloved husband of Jean and the loving dad to Robert and Kevin-John. He will be very sadly missed and fondly remembered by his heartbroken wife and sons.

He is also deeply mourned by his daughter-in-law Lynn; his cherished grandchildren Chloe, Hannah, and Max; his brothers Peter and Frank; his sisters Madeline, Carmel, Christine, and Kitty; his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, many dear friends, and his beloved pet Kim.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda (A92 XN75) on Sunday afternoon, June 7th, from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon, June 8th, at 2:00pm in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee, which can be viewed live online via the parish webcam. Burial will take place afterward in Ballymakenny Cemetery.

The family residence remains private at all times, please. Those attending the funeral home are kindly asked to park with consideration for residents in nearby houses.

Sheila Durrigan (née Reilly), of 37 Moorehall Close, Ardee, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully on June 4th, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by her adoring family.

Predeceased by her parents Nancy and Oliver Reilly, her grandson Daibhóg, and her sister Ursula, Sheila will be sadly missed and forever loved by her husband James and her children Robert, David, Jimmy, Julie, and Emmet.

She is also deeply mourned by her daughters-in-law Sandra, Ciara, Loretta, and Úna; her son-in-law Joe; her cherished granddaughters Ella, Dara, Shania, Rosa, Treasa, Chloe, Ellen, Hazel, Molly, and Hailee; her grandson M.J.; her sister Nuala Callan; her brother Oliver Reilly; as well as her extended family, neighbours, and many friends.

Predeceased by her mother Josie (Missy), Joann will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, her husband Darren, and her daughters Emma and Orla.

She is also deeply mourned by her father Peter; her sons-in-law Gareth and Ian; her cherished grandchild MJ; as well as her uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at her residence in Bohernamoe, Ardee (A92 X220) on Friday, June 5th, and Saturday, June 6th, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. The house will remain strictly private on Sunday for family only, please.

Removal will take place on Monday morning, June 8th, at 9:30am, proceeding to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10:00am. The Mass can be viewed live online via the Ardee Parish Webcam. Burial will take place afterward in Ballapousta Cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, if desired, to Palliative Care.
