Olive McQuaid, of St. Helens, Merseyside and formerly of Marian Park, Dundalk, passed away peacefully in the care of the staff at Adamstan House Nursing Home, St. Helens.
Predeceased by her parents James and Ellen, and in January 2026 by her brother Joe, Olive will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Ann, her nephews Garry and Colin and their wives Valerie and Aon, and her cherished grandnephews and grandnieces Colleen, Seán, Anna, Adam, Brandyn, and Kian. She is also deeply regretted by her extended family, good friends, and neighbors in Merseyside.
Funeral Details:
Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk (entrance on Castletown Road), on Sunday, May 31st, from 4pm until 7pm.
Removal will take place on Monday morning, June 1st, proceeding to the Church of the Holy Redeemer, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial will take place afterward in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Togher, Co. Louth / Athlone, Co. Westmeath
Dermot O’Neill, of Nature’s Way, Clonmore, Togher, Co. Louth and formerly of Slí An Aifrinn, Athlone, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, in his 68th year.
Predeceased by his loving parents Peggy and Larry O’Neill, and his brother Larry, Dermot was a poet, an actor, a carpenter, a raconteur, and a free spirit. He will be deeply missed by his children Jennifer, Hazel, Pippa, and Laurie; his sisters Carmel Feeney and Margaret Grehan; brothers-in-law Aidan; grandsons Oscar, Hugo, and Michael; nephews, nieces, extended family, and many close friends, especially Val and John.

Reposing at P. Townley & Sons Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda, on Wednesday evening, June 3rd, from 5pm until 7pm.
A Celebration of Dermot’s Life and Cremation Service will take place at Dardistown Cemetery & Crematorium, Co. Dublin, on Thursday, June 4th, at 3:00pm. The service can be viewed live via the Dardistown chapel webstream. Family and friends are welcome to gather afterward for refreshments and a final farewell at a local beach.
In keeping with Dermot’s colorful character, the family requests that those attending wear **bright clothes**. Flowers are welcome, or donations in lieu can be made to Green Sod Ireland via Rewilding Europe.

Margaret Dagg (née Breyley), of Bryanstown, Drogheda, Co. Louth, passed away suddenly on May 29th, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital following a severe bout of pneumonia.
Predeceased by her brothers Brian and Derek, Margaret was the beloved wife of Gerald and the loving mother of Susan and Paul. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her devoted husband and children, her brother Mike, grandchildren Alexander and Daniel, son-in-law Jonathan, sisters-in-law Sylvia and Jennifer, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.

The beloved husband of Rosaleen (née McCrudden), James was predeceased by his daughter Eileen (2024), as well as his siblings Tom, Kay, Annmarie, and Rosemary. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his heartbroken wife, his children Kay, Cina (Christina), Angela, Larry, and Jim, his sister Mairead, and his brother Joe.
James is also deeply mourned by his grandchildren Caroline, Clare, Robert, Jennifer, Sean, Christine, Cian, Maria-Clare, Ciara, Eamonn, Alana, James, Matthew, and Luke; his great-grandchildren Ellen, Aine, Donncha, Rose, Alice, Michael, Tomás, Doireann, and Aoife; daughter-in-law Lorraine; sons-in-law Raymond and Joe; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours, and many friends.

James will repose at McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, Dundalk, from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday, May 31st. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon, June 1st, at 2pm in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

The son of the late George and Maura, and beloved husband of Catherine (née Baldwin), Bobby will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his heartbroken wife, his children Ciarán, Clodagh, Alison, Karen, and Robert, and his sister Rita and brother Nicholas.
He is also mourned by his cherished grandchildren Oisín, Killian, Tara, Alaoise, Ruairí, Caleb, Freya, Caoimhe, Issac, Dearbhla, Eric, Rayna, and Rachel; extended family members Elaine, Brian, Kenneth, Stephen, and Yvonne; his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness, warmth, humour, and gentle presence.
